Knitting has been my joy since my teenage time. When I knit - I think. While knitting often stitch by stitch, images formed in my mind and later turned into paintings. I knit like I paint - emotionally, often without a plan, following the inspiration of the moment!
Icons that have been made by centuries old canon are not copied, but made by my hand the way I see every picture in my heart, using the techniques that I have learned during my studies. I paint with pigments on wooden boards, on stone, on paper and cover them with olifa. With every brushstroke I paint a piece of my life, love, sadness, the colors of my land!
Every knitwear and Icon has a piece of my heart in it!
